The composition of the knee joint
The knee joint is composed of the inner and outer femoral condyles, the inner and outer tibial condyles, and the patella. It is the largest and most complicated joint in the human body and has more chances of injury. It is a pulley joint.
Knee Locking Plate Indications
Distal femur locking plate: suitable for patients who cannot be fixed from the outside due to severe tissue damage or other reasons; suitable for the fixation of complex fractures and patients with osteoporosis.
Proximal Tibia Locking Plate: Tibial plateau lateral split or compression fracture; simple midline tibial plateau compression fracture; medial tibial plateau split or compression fracture; proximal tibial shaft fracture. It is suitable for the fixation of complex fractures and patients with osteoporosis.
